El Gouna FC bowed out to Intag El Harby in the Egyptian Cup, having lost 4-2 on penalties after 90 and 120 minutes couldn’t separate the two cup fighters (1-1 and 2-2 respectively)

El Gouna FC  went through to the last 16 in the Egyptian Cup after defeating Dakhleya 4-3 on penalties. The normal and extra time ended in a 2-2 draw as El Gouna FC forward Gamal Hamza scored twice.

They will now meet El Intag El Harby in Cairo on Wednesday 26 May 2010.

Ten-man El Gouna managed a 0-0 stalemate against league champions Al Ahly to mathematically ensure an extended stay in Egyptian’s top flight football. The Boys from Bustan need a draw with relegation-threatened El Masry in Port Said, level on 33 points with El Gouna FC;  both consequently benefiting for sharing points  to stay up.

None of the relegation rivals managed to gain ground as El Gouna FC, Arab Contractors and Ghazl Mahalla registered away draws.

Gouna were held to a 1-1 draw at Harras Hodoud. Ahli-bound Gamal Hamza equalized against Ahmed Abdul-Ghani’s opener for the hosts. Contractors failed to win at relegated Mansoura as Reda Al-Weeshi’s strike was cancelled out by Ibrahim Marzook.

In Cairo, Gaish held Mahalla to a goalless draw as the same scoreline ruled in the game between ENPPI and Petrojet.
