Another excellent away performance secured yet another three points for El Gouna FC, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone with a crucial 1-2 win over Tala-Al-Jaish,  with Sherif Redda and Arafa Al-Sayed both scoring halfway through the first half.

A Nour Al Sayed brace from the edge of the penalt area handed El Gouna FC  a 0-1 lead at halftime over Ismaili. The home club missed a penalty but eventually equalised from a breath-taking free-kick from Hommos. El Gouna sealed Ismaili’s faith however when Saad Hosni struck home in the 73rd minute to secure a stunning 1-2 result.

El Gouna FC just lost 0-1 to Zamalek’s Sherif Ashraf’s goal  against the run of play at the Estad Sohaq in Sohaq. It’s a crying shame the club were not able to meet the criteria to secure the match to be held in El Gouna. The people of El Gouna who have supported the team from day one are now being deprived from dream performances against the likes of Zamalek and Al Ahly. El Gouna FC might as well get relegated to the second division if the bonus for promotion is seeing the likes of mediocre governmental and ministerial teams with no natural fanbase only.

El Gouna FC’s home tie with Zamalek, scheduled for Friday 19 March 2010, has unfortunately been changed to Sohaq for security reasons; the Bustan ground allegedly boasting a capacity too limited to host Zamalek.  Estad Sohaq will serve as El Gouna FC’s third home ground this season.

El Gouna FC temporarily dampened their relegation worries with  a well-deserved 3-2 victory over Mokawloon, aka Arab Contractors. Ahmed Omran equalised with a converted penalty and Henry Akile put the home club in front in the 2oth minute before Mokawloon equalised through Mohamed Samara.

Match winner Gamal Hamza sparked jubilant scenes from the home crowd when slotting home in the 4th minute of extra time.
