Al Ahly  have signed El Gouna FC’s goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy  following Ahly’s s 1-0 Egyptian Premier League victory over Gouna, coach Hossam Al Badri confirmed.

Al-Badri will be hoping that Ekrami, who came through Ahli’s youth ranks before joining Dutch side Feyenoord, will finally make Essam Al-Hadari’s absence unfelt.

Al Ahly were handed three points against El Gouna FC in an almost empty Cairo International Stadium in a disappointing affair as neither side were able to create clear-cut chances.

Essam Mahmoud, deputizing for first choice Sherif Ekrami, mis-timed jump from a set piece allowed Liberian striker Francis Doe, who joined Ahli in the close season, to head home from a corner and take his tally to three goals.

El Gouna FC are now 13th in the table with two points separating them from the relegation zone.

El Gouna FC kept their 100% unbeaten home record in seven league matches with a solid and sound win over hapless Haras El Hadood. Shawy Inseed and Redah Shehata secured the three points with two goals in a short spell, ten minutes after the hour mark.

El Gouna FC are currently 12th in the table and will face league leaders Al Ahly on Wednesday 16 December 2009 at the Cairo International Stadium.

El Gouna FC’s dismal away run continued with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Police Union, with Nigerian striker Bouba finding the net in the 4th minute of injury time.

Coach Ismael Youssef saw his slumping into the relegation zone when he learnt  that their 1-0 win over Ghazl Mahalla last week was overturned in favor of the latter due to a managerial error.
